This season's collection, named "STRATA," means "layer" in Japanese, and embodies the designer's own roots and accumulated experiences.
The launch item was a skipper shirt made from tussah silk, spun from the cocoons of wild silkworms known as the Rayleigh species.
Wild silkworms, which grow by feeding on the leaves of the sal tree, are such a rare material that only about 2% of the silk produced by domesticated silkworms is harvested.
It has a stronger luster and a lighter texture, and the uneven thickness and neps create a random, geological pattern.
The band collar shirt is a classic shape that continues to be made.
The clean design has been stripped of all unnecessary elements, highlighting the gathers on the back yoke and the texture of the fabric.
